Caledon: Where Canada’s largest urban area intersects with Nature.
Less than an hour from Toronto, nestled in the Niagara Escarpment, Caledon is the perfect place to call home. It is also within the Headwaters of both the Humber & the Credit River system. The juxtaposition of urban amenities with rural charm and an abundance of nature, sets the stage for an engaged community where people choose a more relaxed way of life.
Caledon covers over 700 square kilometres and is home to approximately 76,000 people. It is a Community of Communities as each village and hamlet has its own personality. The Town of Caledon was created by amalgamating the former County of Peel townships of Albion, Caledon and the northern half of Chinguacousy, as well as the Villages of Bolton and Caledon East. For this reason, the Town of Caledon includes Caledon Village and Caledon East which are 2 separate villages within the Town of Caledon.
Caledon offers a wide variety home types and price ranges from century homes & farm houses in the village cores to luxury homes and estates dotted throughout the country side. Bolton, Caledon East and Mayfield West communities offer townhouses & semi’s as well as detached homes. The other villages & hamlets feature detached houses on more generous-sized lots.
